Brian Amey was introduced by Mukund Nory. He spoke of all of the accomplishments and programs that Middletown Rotary Club is involved in.
• We have 69 members
• Foundation giving goal was achieved at 117%
• Polio Plus contributions were great
• Talked about the intense interview process for District Governor. Was asked what his focus would be for his year way back in 2008. "Lighten the Burden for Others" is his focus and is the theme for his year
• Volunteering gives us great satisfaction and we are eligible for many awards and citations for all that our club does
• Goal is to get to 1.3 million members worldwide by end of Rotary year. Work on membership development
• Polio eradication is stuck at 99%. Three endemic countries still Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria
• Foundation goals
• Wants us to develop a new community project for the year

RI Strategic Plan
• Strengthen club
• Improve PR (local media, social media)
• Do more community work
