Community
Service
Community Service includes the scope of activities which Rotarians
undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Many official
Rotary programs are intended to meet community needs, whether it be to promote
literacy, help the elderly or disabled, combat urban violence or provide
opportunities for local youth.
The Middletown Rotary Club sponsors or
participates in the following community service projects annually:
 | Local Contributions - We donate a
significant portion of the money generated by fundraising to local charities,
non-profit organizations, and community projects. |
 | Thanksgiving Food Baskets - We donate, then
deliver Thanksgiving food baskets in cooperation with the American Red Cross
and Liberty Bank. |
 | One Book One Middletown
- We participate in the Citywide literacy program to promote reading. |
 | Warm the Children - We volunteer for the
Warm the Children program that provides clothing to needy
children. |
 | Salvation Army Bell Ringing - We provide a
day's coverage every year. |
 | Youth Baseball and Soccer - We support a
local Little League baseball team and a youth soccer team. |
 | Amazing Grace Food Pantry - We help collect
money and food for local citizens in need. |
 | Middletown Historical Society - Every Spring we
help spruce up the Middletown Historical Society's grounds. |
In addition, we're usually involved with a wide variety
of single event projects that benefit our local community. Click below to
